Activation of the Xooloo Parental Control

How to activate your software ?

To activate the software please enter the license number received by email in " Tools / Advanced Options / Management of the License ". During all the validity period of your license you will be able to activate the software as described above, as a result in case of a new installation of your system you will only need to download again the Parental Control and to activate it with your license number.

It could happen to change computer, to suffer a breakdown or to have to reformat the hard disc because of a virus or others mistakes. You have the possibility to download your software as many times as necessary during all the validity period of your license of use. As a result, the use of your software is guarantee during all the validity period of your license.

How to receive again a purchased license number ?

How long does it take to receive a license number ?

95% of the e-mails are received within five minutes following the validation of the order but we do not control the delay of transmission.

Where is my license number ?

You have received or you will receive an e-mail from Xooloo containing your license number. Print this email to keep the license number in case of a future new installation. You will then only need to enter your e-mail address and your corresponding license number in the software to activate the Xooloo Parental Control.

When I copy the license number sent by e-mail, the text 'invalid license number' appears ?

If this text appears, it is probably for one of the following reasons :

• The e-mail mentionned in the field e-mail of the board of the management of the license is not the same that the one to which the license has been sent to
• when the license has been copied, an error occured
• Your version of the Xooloo Parental Control is too old.

My license has expired and I am blocked all the time

Close all your Internet browsers, launch the Xooloo Parental Control and go to the menu Tools -> Advanced options -> Advanced administration.
Select 'Direct connection to the Internet'.
You will then have a non filtered access to Internet. You will then be able to access to Internet.

My license has expired and I am not able to consult my webmail to receive my license

Close all your Internet browsers, launch the Xooloo Parental Control and go in the menu Tools -> Advances options -> Advanced administration.
Select 'Direct connection to the Internet'.
You will then have a non securised access to Internet. As a result, you will be able to access to your WebMail to receive your license.

Internet connection problem

My Internet connection does not start on its own anymore.
I do not have ADSL and when I use Firefox, I do not have any Internet connection.

To connect yourself to the Internet, you can either :

• provide as the starting page of your browser the following address https://www.google.fr or any other https address (securised site).
• use your connection manager to initialise the Internet connection.

Filtering problem

I think that I am not filtered

If you have a version of the Xooloo Parental Control superior to the 1.2 version, go to the filtering test page to verify the status of your filtering.
Otherwise, verify that you have activated the software with a license after the installation and refer yourself to the available help provided above.

When I do a research on words like 'sexuality' the page of results appears anyway. Is it normal?

The Xooloo Parental Control software can determine precisely if a page needs to be filtered or not.
As a result, if the page of results of your research is not entirely pornographic (for instance it can have links to sexual education pages, ...), the Xooloo Parental Control will allow the page to display.

Does the Xooloo Parental Control stop the advertising windows?

If the advertising window is forbidden to minors, the Parental Conotrol Xooloo will filter the window but will not prevent it to open.
If your wish to prevent the display of advertising windows (popup), we advise you to use Firefox as your web browser (You will find it at this address ).
